Notes
1. In the 1996 Representation Order, the name for the electoral district
of West Nova was used in both the English and French texts. Following
the Representation Order, Bill C-410 (An Act to change the name of certain
electoral districts), assented to on June 18, 1998, stipulated the following:
in the 1996 Representation Order, paragraph 11 of the part relating to
Nova Scotia was amended in the French text by substituting the name Ouest
Nova for the name West Nova. The name Ouest Nova was
therefore used in the French text of the Commission’s Proposals published
on July 13, 2002. In the French text of its Report, the Commission replaces
the name Ouest Nova with the name Nova-Ouest.
2. In its Proposals, published on July 13, 2002, the name for the electoral
district of Central Nova was used in both the English and French
texts. In the French text of its Report, the Commission replaces the name
Central Nova with the name Nova-Centre.
