Introduction

Nomination Contestant's Campaign Return

A nomination campaign that accepted contributions of $1,000 or more in total or incurred nomination campaign expenses of $1,000 or more in total has to submit the Nomination Contestant's Campaign Return. This return contains information on the nomination contestant's campaign expenses, contributions, loans and transfers.

Nomination Contestant's Statement of Unpaid Claims and Loans 18 or 36 Months After the Selection Date

This statement is required if the campaign has unpaid claims or loans. It discloses information on the status of these unpaid claims or loans and an explanation of why they are still unpaid.

Correcting or updating a return

An amended Nomination Contestant's Campaign Return or Nomination Contestant's Statement of Unpaid Claims and Loans 18 or 36 Months After the Selection Date has to be filed to correct errors or omissions, or to report new transactions.

Nomination Contestant's Statement of Surplus

After all financial obligations have been met, the nomination campaign must dispose of any surplus funds. This statement contains information on the amount and date of the surplus disposal, and to whom the surplus was transferred.
