Elections Canada publishes contributions and expenses of candidates and political parties, in two different databases:


  • contributions and expenses of political parties, by year*
   
  • contributions and expenses of candidates for a general election or by-election**
  • political parties' electoral expenses for a general election only

* Note that the Fiscal Period Returns Database contains data starting from 1998. If you want to download data for the year 1997, click here.

** Note that the Contributions and Expenses Database contains data starting from the 1997 general election, plus all subsequent general elections and by-elections. However, if you wish to download the complete 1997 general election data for candidates, in a tab-delimited format, click here.
