The Compendium of Election Administration in Canada is a comparative analysis of the major provisions related to the administration of elections at the federal level and in each province and territory in Canada. This includes the redistribution of electoral districts, the administration of elections, the registration of electors, the voting process, the nomination of candidates, the registration of political parties, election financing, enforcement of electoral law, referendum and plebiscite provisions as well as legislation related to Senate Election.

The current edition is based on legislation as of October 1, 2009 (The reader must refer to the official texts for interpretation and application of the acts.). For information about more recent developments, please consult the electoral agency or legislative assembly Web sites of the various jurisdictions.
