Elections Canada Advisory Board

The Elections Canada Advisory Board was established in 2013 to provide advice to the Chief Electoral Officer on matters relating to Canada's electoral system, its voting processes, and support for a vigorous democracy that reflects the evolving needs and circumstances of Canadians.

The mandate of the Advisory Board was to study and provide advice on matters related to Canada's electoral system, including the conduct of elections, electoral participation both by voters and political participants, regulatory compliance and electoral reform.

The Board was co-chaired by the Honourable Ian Binnie, former justice of the Supreme Court of Canada, and Ms. Sheila Fraser, former Auditor General of Canada.
