4. Complaints and Judicial Review

Individuals who disagree with the handling of their personal information or the processing of a request under the Act can file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC).

The OPC received one complaint against Elections Canada in 2015–2016 that relates to missing records. The OPC determined that the complaint was not well-founded.

No judicial reviews were reported to Elections Canada in 2015–2016.
