  • Step 3
    • Deputy Returning Officer
      • Unseal Advance Poll Secure Box EC 50252 in view of everyone present. Take out
        • List of Electors
        • EC 50485 Advance Poll Secure Bag
        Recycle empty box
        Note: never re-open Advance Poll Ballot Box EC 50251 from a previous day
  • Step 4
    • Deputy Returning Officer
      • Open Advance Poll Secure Bag EC 50485. Take out
        • EC 50070 Advance Poll Book
        • EC 50071 Deputy Returning Officer's Book of Oaths for Advance Polls
        • EC 50421 Record of Votes Cast (Yellow Copies) and Unused Ballots Envelope
    • Poll Clerk
      • Prepare a new
        • EC 50109 Statement of the Electors Who Voted at the Advance Poll
        • EC 50080 Record of Votes Cast at the Advance Polling Station.
          Note: start again with page #1, entry #1
  • Step 5
    • Deputy Returning Officer
      • Open Record of Votes Cast (Yellow Copies) and Unused Ballots Envelope EC 50421.
        Take out all unused ballots.
        Count them to make sure total matches the number written on envelope.
        Put envelope back in Advance Poll Secure Bag EC 50485
        Note: you will have 4 of these envelopes in your secure bag on the last day
  • Step 6
    • Deputy Returning Officer
      • Assemble a new Advance Poll Ballot Box EC 50251.
        Check under flaps and show everyone at your table it is empty.
        Write advance polling station number and tick day on box.
        Seal top and bottom long edges with 2 Long Ballot Box Seals EC 50200 .
        Seal top and bottom short edges with 4 Short Advance Poll Ballot Box Seals EC 50195.
        Copy numbers from long seals to Seal Control Sheet EC 50205.
        Put box on table in view of everyone present

    • Deputy Returning Officer
      • Organize supplies on your table
    • Poll Clerk
      • Organize supplies on your table
  • Step 8
    • Deputy Returning Officer
      • Finish with ballot booklet from yesterday before you initial the back of each ballot in a new one
    • Poll Clerk
      • Put all other supplies in green Advance Poll Bag EC 50480.
        Put it under table
  • Step 9
    • Deputy Returning Officer
      • At 12 p.m., serve electors
    • Poll Clerk
      • At 12 p.m., serve electors
