Electors Must Prove Their Identity and Address When They Vote

OTTAWA, Thursday, April 21, 2011

"Most voters will be able to meet the requirements by simply showing just one piece of identification, like a driver's licence, that has their name, photo and address. They will then be able to vote easily," says Chief Electoral Officer Marc Mayrand.

Further information about voter identification is available at the polls.
