Federal By-elections Underway

Elections Canada Issues Writs of Election for Ottawa West–Nepean,
Peterborough and Sudbury (Ontario)

GATINEAU, Sunday, May 3, 2015

• The writs of election were issued today by Elections Canada for the federal by-elections to be held on Monday, October 19, 2015, in the electoral districts of Ottawa West–Nepean, Peterborough and Sudbury (Ontario) to fill three vacancies in the House of Commons.
• All Canadian citizens in Ottawa West–Nepean, Peterborough and Sudbury who are at least 18 years of age on election day are eligible to vote.

Elections Canada is an independent body set up by Parliament.
