Judicial Recount to Be Held in the Electoral District of
Edmonton Mill Woods

Gatineau, Saturday, October 24, 2015

The Chief Electoral Officer of Canada, Marc Mayrand, announced today that there will be a judicial recount of the votes in the electoral district of Edmonton Mill Woods (Alberta). Following validation of the results in the electoral district, the difference between the two leading candidates was 79 votes. A candidate requested the recount.

The recount will be conducted by a judge of the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta and will begin on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. The results of the recount will be published on the Elections Canada Web site after the recount is completed.
