Revision of Information Sheet 18: Nomination Contests: Obligations of Nomination Contestants. Revision provides more information respecting a number of questions: 1. Whether expense incurred before a nomination contest or after the contest can be considered nomination campaign expenses. 2. The duty to have a financial agent if a nomination contest receives no contributions or incurs no expenses. 3. The duty of a financial agent who has no contributions or expenses to open a bank account. 4. The duty of a financial agent who does not have to file a nomination campaign return to file a final statement respecting the close of his or her bank account.
