*Pursuant to subsection 435.01(2) of the Canada Elections Act as it read prior to April 1, 2012, the first quarterly allowance for 2012 is the product of $0.4375 multiplied by the number of valid votes cast in the 41st general election. The sum obtained is adjusted by the inflation adjustment factor in effect on April 1, 2011 of 1.165.
**Pursuant to paragraph 435.01(2)(a) of the Canada Elections Act which came into force on April 1, 2012, the second, third and fourth quarterly allowance for 2012 is the product of $0.3825 multiplied by the number of valid votes cast in the 41st general election.
