Registration Forms for Canadian Forces Electors
As a Canadian Forces (CF) elector, you vote under the Special Voting Rules of the Canada Elections Act.
To vote at a federal electoral event, you must be a Canadian citizen and 18 years of age or older on civilian polling day. To vote under the Special Voting Rules for CF electors, you must be:
- a member of the Regular Force
- a member of the Reserve Force on full-time training or service or on active service
- a member of the Special Force
- a civilian employed outside Canada by the CF as a teacher or administrative support staff in a CF school
When you complete a Statement of Ordinary Residence (SOR), you are entitled to vote at a polling station set up in your unit, wherever you may be stationed in Canada or abroad.
If you meet the above criteria, you must complete one of the following SOR, depending on your component of the Canadian Forces:
