Registration Forms for Canadian Forces Electors
Canadian Civic Address for Voting Purposes
The civic address that you provide on the Statement of Ordinary Residence (SOR) determines the electoral district for which your vote will be counted.
If you are completing your first SOR:
As a member of the Reserve Force of the CF, you must designate as your address for voting purposes:
- your address of ordinary residence in Canada immediately before being placed on full-time training or service or immediately before being placed on active service
If you are updating your current SOR:
As a member of the Reserve Force of the CF, you may designate one of the following as your address for voting purposes:
- the place of ordinary residence of a person with whom you would live if you were not on training or service or a person you designate as your next of kin
- the place where you reside while on training or service
- your place of ordinary residence immediately before being enrolled in, or hired by, the CF
Note: If you reside in the electoral district indicated on your SOR on civilian polling day and you have not already voted under the Special Voting Rules for CF electors, you may vote at the civilian polling station established for the address shown on your SOR.
