What do I need to know to understand the Election Night Results Web module?
Choosing how you want to view the preliminary results:
You can either choose the link
"Click here to view the results now" in the Home Page
message or click on the "Electoral Districts" tab
in the menu on the left.
Refresh rate:
The refresh rate sets the intervals between data updates. Choose how often you would like the updated results to be displayed.
Tips on using the site:
If you need more information, select "Help" at the top right-hand corner of any page. The Election Night Results module provides two types of help:
- Help with using the Web site
- Help with understanding the results
How do I get the latest election results?
On the Home Page, the refresh
option for the election results is set at "Every 90 seconds."
To change this setting, click on the button beside the
refresh option you prefer and then click on the "Submit" button.
The automatic refresh function will only work if you have
enabled cookies in your browser.
How do I get the election results in French?
Please click on the "Français" link in the top menu bar to see the election results in French.
How do I return to Elections Canada's main site?
Please click on the Elections Canada logo in the left-hand corner of the page to return to the Elections Canada main site.
How do I return to the pages I looked at earlier?
Click on your browser's "Back"
button located in the top left-hand corner of your screen.
How do I save my settings?
To save your refresh rate setting:
- Go to the Election Night Results module Home Page.
- Select one of the four refresh rate settings displayed under the "Select refresh rates for preliminary results" section.
- Click "Submit."
Note: The refresh rate feature is only available while preliminary results are available and JavaScript is enabled.
What are the minimal system requirements for this Web module?
This module is best viewed in
Internet Explorer 5.5 or Netscape 6.2 and higher, using at
least a 56K modem.
How do I print the entire page?
Please select the landscape orientation when printing.
