Important deadlines for the nomination contestant's campaign diagram
When the nomination contestant's campaign starts, the nomination contestant must:
- Appoint a financial agent
- Appoint an auditor
- Open campaign bank account
Within 30 days of the selection date:
- The party or the registered association sends the Nomination Contest Report to Elections Canada
Within 3 months after the selection date:
- Financial agent must receive Nomination Contestant's Statement of Personal Expenses and all invoices from the nomination contestant
Within 4 months of nomination contest day, the financial agent sends to Elections Canada:
- the Auditor's Report (if applicable)
- the Contestant's Nomination Campaign Return (accompanied by all required documents)
