1.1.2 Source of Information about the by-elections
The above bar graph shows the types of media where respondents recalled hearing about of the November 17, 2014, federal by-elections. Respondents were allowed to select up to 3 answers. The results are as follows:
- Newspapers were the most recalled media (47 percent), followed by TV (38 percent), radio (33 percent), candidates/parties election signs (18 percent), word of mouth (15 percent), voter information card (14 percent), Elections Canada householder brochure (14 percent), Internet (7 percent), poster/signs/billboards (6 percent), and social media (5 percent).
