3.3 Fairness of Election
The above stacked bar graph shows respondents' perceptions on the fairness of the November 17, 2014, by-elections. The results are as follows:
- Overall 63 percent of the respondents said Elections Canada ran the elections very fairly, 17 percent said the elections were run somewhat fairly, 2 percent said the elections were run somewhat unfairly, 1 percent said the elections were run very unfairly and 17 percent said they did not know or had no opinion.
- In Whitby–Oshawa 70 percent of the respondents said Elections Canada ran the election very fairly, 17 percent said the election was run somewhat fairly, 1 percent said the election was run somewhat unfairly, 1 percent said the election was run very unfairly and 12 percent said they did not know or had no opinion.
- In Yellowhead 56 percent of the respondents said Elections Canada ran the election very fairly, 18 percent said the election was run somewhat fairly, 2 percent said the election was run somewhat unfairly, 1 percent said the election was run very unfairly and 22 percent said they did not know or had no opinion.
