Mr. Justice Robert Hutchison

The Honourable Mr. Justice Robert Hutchison was granted a Bachelor of Arts degree by the University of Washington in 1953, and a Bachelor of Laws degree by the University of British Columbia in 1956. A senior partner in Crease and Company, he was appointed to the County Court of Vancouver Island in 1982, and to the Supreme Court of British Columbia in 1990.

Mr. R. Kenneth Carty

Mr. R. Kenneth Carty is Professor and former head of the Department of Political Science at the University of British Columbia, where he is also a Senior Fellow of Green College and Chair of the Publications Board of UBC Press. He was educated at the University of New Brunswick, Oxford (as a Rhodes Scholar) and Queen's University. Mr. Carty has published widely on questions of electoral organization. He has served as a consultant to provincial and national royal commissions dealing with electoral boundaries (British Columbia's Fisher Commission) and electoral reform and party financing (Lortie Commission). He has also served as consultant to the CBC Ombudsman on election broadcasting. He is currently President of the Canadian Political Science Association and Chair of the Board of Governors of the Vancouver School of Theology.

Ms. Lynda Erickson

Ms. Lynda Erickson is Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at Simon Fraser University. She was granted Bachelor of Arts and Doctor of Philosophy degrees from the University of Alberta, and taught at the University of Alberta and University of British Columbia before joining the faculty at Simon Fraser University. Ms. Erickson has published books and articles on various aspects of politics in Canada and has served on the board of the Canadian Political Science Association. She did research for the Lortie Commission on electoral reform and party financing and was a member of the Federal Boundaries Commission for British Columbia during the last electoral redistribution.
