Public sittings of commissions for the hearing of representations not sooner than 60 days after last publication of notice of public sittings mentioned in 5 above.

7. COMPLETION OF REPORT FOLLOWING PUBLIC SITTINGS December 2002 –
March 28, 2003
Each commission shall complete its report not later than one year after receipt by its Chairperson of the census return from the Chief Electoral Officer. (This period may be extended to a maximum of 6 months; no extension was necessary at the previous redistribution-1996 Representation Order)

8. (A) TABLING OF REPORT WITH THE SPEAKER December 2002 –
March 28, 2003
Each commission shall cause two certified copies of its report to be transmitted to the Chief Electoral Officer who shall transmit one copy to the Speaker. The Speaker shall cause each report to be tabled and referred to a Committee established by the House for that purpose.

(B) REPORT REFERRED TO COMMITTEE OF THE HOUSE December 2002 –

9. FILING OF OBJECTIONS BY MEMBERS OF THE HOUSE OF COMMONS December 2002 –
April 27, 2003
Objections to report may be filed with the Clerk of the Committee within 30 days from the day the copy of the report is referred to the Committee.

10. OBJECTIONS CONSIDERED BY THE COMMITTEE OF THE HOUSE February 2003 –
July 16, 2003
The committee of the House shall consider the matter of the objections and return each report to the Speaker within 30 sitting days after expiration of date for filing of objections. The Committee may request additional time.

11. REPORTS REFERRED BACK TO COMMISSIONS FOR RECONSIDERATION (AS NECESSARY) May 2003 –
August 17, 2003

Upon receipt of each report and evidence from the Committee of the House, the Speaker shall forthwith refer the report back to the Chief Electoral Officer for transmittal to the appropriate commission.

Within 30 days from the day a report is referred back to the Chief Electoral Officer by the Speaker, the commission shall dispose of the objections raised by Members; forthwith upon the disposition thereof the report shall be returned to the Chief Electoral Officer for transmittal to the Speaker.

12. PREPARATION OF DRAFT REPRESENTATION ORDER "Forthwith" EBRA: Section 24
13. PROCLAMATION OF DRAFT REPRESENTATION ORDER August 25, 2003 At the same time the last report is transmitted to the Speaker, the Chief Electoral Officer prepares and transmits to the Minister a draft representation order which, within 5 days, must, be proclaimed.

14. PUBLISH IN CANADA GAZETTE REPRESENTATION ORDER AND PROCLAMATION August 29, 2003 The Representation Order and the proclamation declaring it to be in force shall be published in the Canada Gazette within 5 days after the issue of the proclamation.

15. ORDER IN FORCE No earlier than
August 26, 2004
The Representation Order is in force effective upon the first dissolution of Parliament that occurs at least ONE YEAR after the issue of the proclamation.

16. AMENDMENT OF LIST OF SCHEDULE 3 DISTRICTS Not later than 7 days after the dissolution of Parliament The CEO may amend the list of Schedule 3 districts not later than 7 days after the Representation Order becomes effective.
