Comments by Members of the House of Commons
on the Commission's Report

Objections by members of the House of Commons to the report prepared by the Commission were filed with the Subcommittee on Electoral Boundaries Readjustment of the Standing Committee on Procedure and House Affairs between March 28 and April 27, 2003. Subsequently, the Subcommittee considered the objections and issued a report on July 16, 2003. The objections to the Commission's report, together with the report and the minutes of proceedings of the Subcommittee on Electoral Boundaries Readjustment, were forwarded to the Speaker, who referred them to the Chief Electoral Officer on July 18, 2003. These documents have been forwarded to the Commission, which has a further 30 days in which to consider and dispose of the objections.
