NARRATOR (voice over): The federal election is this fall. Bring your ID when you go to vote.

SUPER: Bring accepted ID to vote

VISUAL: Title + Elections Canada logo.

NARRATOR: To vote, you must be a Canadian citizen, 18 or older on election day and prove your identity and current address.

VISUAL: Title card fades. Canadian leaf appears. Character appears and the leaf settles in front of their chest. There is a text box to the right indicating 18+.

SUPER: Canadian citizen, 18 or older

VISUAL: Character fades and Canadian leaf morphs into a piece of photo ID.

NARRATOR: You can show one piece of ID issued by the provincial, territorial or federal government. It should have your photo, name and current address. For example: your driver's licence.

SUPER: One piece of government-issued ID

VISUAL: Photo ID morphs into voter information card. Bank statement appears next to voter information card.

NARRATOR: Or you can show two pieces of ID. Both must have your name, and at least one must have your current address. For example: your voter information card and a bank statement. We accept e-statements and e-invoices. Print them or show them on a mobile device.

NARRATOR: If you don't have ID, you can still vote by declaring your identity and address in writing. Someone who knows you will have to vouch for you in person. They must be assigned to your polling station and prove their own identity and address.
