Judicial Recount to Be Held in the Electoral District of
Regina–Lewvan

Gatineau, Wednesday, October 28, 2015 – The Chief Electoral Officer of Canada, Marc Mayrand, announced today that there will be a judicial recount of the votes in the electoral district of Regina–Lewvan (Saskatchewan). Following validation of the results in the electoral district, the difference between the two leading candidates was 132 votes. A candidate requested the recount.

The recount will be conducted by a judge of the Saskatchewan Court of Queen's Bench. It will begin on October 29, 2015, following an adjournment of the court-ordered start date of October 27, 2015. The results of the recount will be published on the Elections Canada website after the recount is completed.
