Chief Electoral Officer Registers Party Name Change

Gatineau, Tuesday, April 1, 2014

• The Chief Electoral Officer of Canada, Marc Mayrand, has accepted a request for the registration of changes to the party name, short-form name and logo of the Online Party of Canada.
• The registered party's name is now Party for Accountability, Competency and Transparency (PACT), effective March 27, 2014.
• The request was submitted to the Chief Electoral Officer in a report filed in accordance with section 382 of the Canada Elections Act, dated March 17, 2014.
• An updated list of registered political parties is available on Elections Canada's website.
