Tabling of the Report on the 43rd General Election on Tuesday, February 18, 2020

Media Advisory

Journalists accredited by the Canadian Parliamentary Press Gallery are invited to attend Elections Canada’s media lock-up on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. (Eastern time).

The Report on the 43rd General Election provides a technical description of the administration and delivery of the election held on October 21, 2019. Journalists will have early access to the Report (under embargo) and the opportunity to ask questions to a panel of Elections Canada subject matter experts.

Time:

Journalists can arrive at any time between 8:30 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. Please go to the Commissionaires desk on the first floor.

8:30–9:15 a.m.: Journalists review the report.
9:15–9:45 a.m.: Question-and-answer session with Elections Canada subject matter experts.

Note: Journalists can leave as of 9:45 a.m. but must respect the embargo until the Report is tabled in the House of Commons shortly after 10:00 a.m.
