Checking or updating your address information will ensure that you receive a personalized voter information card that tells you when and where to vote, after an election is called.

The National Register of Electors (the Register) is used to produce lists of electors for federal elections and referendums. As part of our ongoing efforts to maintain the accuracy of the Register, we want to verify your information.

According to the Canada Elections Act, if you do not check or update your address information within 60 days after receiving this request, the Chief Electoral Officer is authorized to remove your name from the Register. Once your name is removed from the Register, you will need to register during the next federal election or referendum in order to vote.
