Electors with disabilities
Research shows that electors with disabilities face barriers when they go to vote. Elections Canada wants to make it as easy as possible for them to participate in the electoral process. We make every effort to choose accessible polling places and offer many voting tools and services.

Accessible polling stations
All electors are assigned a polling station for election day and advance polling days. Make sure your assigned polling station meets your accessibility needs.
- To find out how accessible your assigned polling station is:
- check your voter information card;
- visit elections.ca and enter your postal code into the Voter Information Service box; or
- call us at 1-800-463-6868 or 1-800-361-8935 (TTY).
- All polling stations will have either an automatic door opener or an election worker at the door to provide assistance.
If your polling station doesn't meet your accessibility needs, or if you need language or sign language interpretation when you go to vote, call us. Deadlines apply.
For more information on how we choose polling stations, please refer to our Polling Place Suitability Checklist.

Feedback on your polling station
Your feedback is important. After you go to vote, please let us know what you thought of the accessibility of your polling station.
You'll be able to fill out a feedback form online or in person at your polling station when you vote. You can also give feedback to an election worker at your polling station, if that is more convenient.

Federal election
Elections Canada is working hard to make voting accessible to all Canadian electors.
Elections Canada logo appears.
We try to make all polling stations accessible to everyone, but it's best to find out in advance if yours meets your needs.
You can check the accessibility features of your assigned polling station for election day and advance polling days in three ways:
- On your voter information card
- By entering your postal code into the Voter Information Service box at elections.ca
- By calling us at 1-800-463-6868 or
TTY 1-800-361-8935
If your assigned polling station doesn't meet your accessibility needs, or if you live in a community where there is no accessible polling station within a reasonable distance from your home, call us. We will help you find an alternate polling station or discuss other ways you may be able to vote.
Visit elections.ca for the official information you need to vote, or call 1-800-463-6868 or TTY 1-800-361-8935.
