Greet the elector by saying Hello, Bonjour
Ask them if they have acceptable ID that shows their name and address. Use Have your ID ready to help.
If they have acceptable ID, go to step 2.
If they do not have any, go to step 3.
Ask them if they have their VIC, Transfer certificate, or pre-printed registration certificate.
If they have a VIC, go to step 4.
If they have a Transfer certificate or pre-filled registration certificate, go to step 5.
If they have none of these, direct them to the Registration officer.
Ask the elector if there is someone here who can vouch for their name and address.
If they have someone, direct them and the voucher to the Registration officer.
If not, go to step 6.
If the elecor has a VIC, find their polling station on the back of the VIC, Then direct them to their polling station.
If the elector has a Transfer certificate or pre-filled Registration certificate, find their polling station on the Registration certificate, or under the field “To” on the Transfer certificate. Then direct them to their polling station.
Are you sure that they are in the right place? If they have their VIC, check the polling station on the back.
If they are, give them Have your ID ready to vote and ask them to come back with acceptable ID.
If you are not sure, direct them to the Registration officer to confirm their polling place.
