The application for registration sent to Elections Canada includes:
- General Form – Registered Party Leadership Contestant
- Leadership Contestant's Registration Return
3 weeks before the leadership contest day, Elections Canada must receive:
- Leadership Contestant's Interim Campaign Return (if applicable1)
2 days before the leadership contest day, Elections Canada must receive:
- Leadership Contestant's Interim Campaign Return (if applicable1)
5 months after the leadership contest day, the financial agent must receive:
- Signed Leadership Contestant's Statement of Personal Expenses with all supporting documents
6 months after the leadership contest day, Elections Canada must receive:
- Leadership Contestant's Campaign Return with all supporting documents, including the declaration signed by the leadership contestant and the financial agent
- Auditor's Report (if applicable2)
19 months after the leadership contest day, Elections Canada must receive:
- Leadership Contestant's Statement of Unpaid Claims or Loans 18 or 36 Months After the End of the Leadership Contest (if applicable4)
37 months after the leadership contest day, Elections Canada must receive:
- Leadership Contestant's Statement of Unpaid Claims or Loans 18 or 36 Months After the End of the Leadership Contest (if applicable4)
