Website Visits, 2015 Federal General Election

This line graph compares the number of visits to the Elections Canada website per day of the election period for the 2011 and 2015 general elections. The pattern of visits across the election calendar is similar in both years, though numbers for 2015 are consistently higher. In both 2011 and 2015, visits spike dramatically in the last two days of the election. In 2011, the number of election day visits is close to 1.25 million, jumping from about 250,000 the previous day. In 2015, the number of election day visits is close to 4 million, jumping from about 550,000 the previous day.
